Not sure what this display port is

Anyone know what the upper most display port is? The website says it has a dvi and vga but none of my dvi cables match the upper one... I'm wanting to dual-screen on this dell vostro 230

I doubt that card will allow you to have a two monitors without getting a splitter. Usually a video card that provides two outputs like that are just to give you flexibility on what to plug in... also it's rare that your onboard videocard could be used in conjunction with the videocard.

I actually don't have the separated video card i just grabbed off the internet. I was looking at the comm port... so I'm guessing I can't dual monitor unlesss I grab another graphics card

You could hook up a VT220 serial terminal to the comm port....
Check to see if you motherboard can take Two video cards. If not, then look for a video card that supports dual monitors.

I wouldnt bother trying to put in another video card. What i would do is to replace the video car of buy a splitter that will split ur dvi port into 2 ports allowing you to connect 2 monitors.

this is the cheapest way--- we do this at work for all 300+ computers and it works perfectly fine--- actually if i am not mistaken--(looking at back of my pc) one monitor is plugged into the dvi and the other into the vga port and windows set to dual screen

Is OP trying to mirror or extend his monitor?
