CD-ROM broken. A virtual clone drive for OpenSuse?!

I have researched a little and AcetoneIso was one i was looking for but the link for opensuse in the website seems to be broken.
I also have a external cd-rom drive but my live cd wont run on it either.

Can you further describe 'won't run'? Is the disk bad, the data, the drive?

Hey, i am no big guru of linux but as much as i remember you dont need any 3rd party software to moount ISO files in linux

  mount -o loop disk1.iso /mnt/disk 


i believe should give you what you are looking for.

How are you trying to boot from this CD? Does your bios support booting from your external CD-Rom device?
