I've found the .NET framework in general to be less than exciting, but I suspect that's more based on my preferred style of building things than some measure of "quality." That said, I can't stand Visual Studio or iTunes, either.
My top two are Lotus Notes and Rational Rose, though. Notes is just garbage in general, and I saved every time I made even the slightest change in Rose because it was so crash-prone.

I was hired as a Linux administrator. I left a fortune 500 company to do support for a part owner (1 of 3) & eventually I would run the entire IT department!
What a joke. Everything ran without a hitch, & I spend most of my day fixing or converting vb script into Perl code. Their dialer scripts ran using poorly hacked vb script. Gah, it was like color by numbers & I couldn't stay in the lines.
I was employed there for six months. I couldn't take it a day longer.

Today, I'm being forced to use Microsoft Access. And I hate it. I've always hated Access; I find it's a rubbish piece of software, based on outdated standards and the like. It still uses VBA for Christ sake! I could understand if it were for prototyping, or for building a structure that will later be up-scaled to a SQL Server instance; but otherwise it's just a horrible, nasty thing.
I also hate the Messaging App on Windows Phone, never connects - doesn't even try half the time.
This has got me thinking, what software(s) do you guys hate? VENT PEOPLE, VENT!

Im certified in Access (meaningless...) and you might be surprised to find out that Social Security used to use Access to keep track of SSN's. Theres a limit to how many entries you can have, and thankfully before I did my internship there, they switched over to SQL Server.
I agree though, Access is a complete disaster.
Also, Gimp. Multiple windows, and just all around awkward user interface. Selecting the border of a layer (especially text) is painful

I'm so surprised nobody has said IE yet. That crap just needs to be abolished. I had to basically write 2 websites to accommodate IE users. I hope people come to their senses soon and it can go the way of netscape (which although not great was still better than IE). I'm sure I have others but right now I'm still fuming abut IE =P

The piece of shit third-party SOAP API -- and its backend -- I'm developing against now.
I wish syphilis on the dumbass that decided to make a system which functions as a querying system but provides no joins, is dependent on IDs across tables, and CHANGES THE FUCKING IDs WHEN YOU CHANGE THE UNDERLYING OBJECT!!!

Sharepoint.
Just spent four hours making a left nav go away on two pages. Because of the way the site is structured, editing the master pages wasn't an option, so I had to use a goofy trick I got from our SP consultant, feeding some javascript in through a content editor web part.
The worst part was navigating the DOM and the style sheets, looking for the pieces that I needed to manipulate. Totally awful - divs called "s4-ca" with random hard marginLeft settings that I had to unset.
Still doesn't work quite right in one browser. I'll let the reader guess which one that is.

Get the the new GIMP 2.8 stable version
It is officially out and the default layout is still multiple windows but you can change it to single windows.

Tell your company that AIM logs everything. That should get them off of it.
