All ideas or worth exploding...

Personally, I don't entirely agree. Not all ideas are worth exploring. I once had an idea to duct tape my legs together and jump in to a pool, claiming to be a merman. I am happy that I never explored that idea.

But you did. You explored the idea, and decided it wouldn't be worth putting to the test.

Mind blown.

I'm surprised you don't work at Starbucks with a philosopher's brain like that jon.

Back in the misty forgotten days of my youth I did manage a coffee shop for a few years. Not a Starbucks, though, this was strictly local.

These days, I'm only a philosopher in my spare time.

I've been following Light Table for some time on KickStarter now. It looks to me like something that would be cool to at least try out, I just haven't been given over quite yet to pledging any of my finances.

I believe you are past the pledging phase there...

Indeed Good Sir. Although, I THINK it is still possible to pledge, regardless of the time having passed or the goal having been met. Could be wrong there, but in any case, until support begins for something I am currently at least familiar with, I believe I will hold off. I am more the type to send 'support packages' once I have been able to verify a product for myself. ^_^

Looks awesome. I don't know Lisp, though. Hope they offer multiple languages - or at least some interpreted languages like Python and Ruby.

Pretty much, no, I am not. I actually came upon the site a couple of months ago, brpwsed through a few projects, some were quite impressive, others, not so much... Check back every couple of weeks.

I'm not that creative myself, but I like seeing the ingenuity of others being put towards something they believe in

Yeah, but the basic concept is you gather others who see the potential and they help fund something sight unseen.. fund the idea.. *shrug* Yeah probably not for everyone.

Anyone know if this is for Lisp only? And I assume it's not open source?
