I had no problem just yelling at Marvel/Disney to take my money when I walked up for an Avengers ticket. Yeah - that was good folks... really.. really good. If you are out seeing it make sure you sit through to the second (yes you read that - SECOND) scene after every last credit has scrolled.
On the block this summer - GIJOE2, Expendables 2 (I heard the first one was good).. The Dark Knight.. and maybe the Spiderman sort of reboot. I might try and con someone into going (because going by myself would be pretty damn creepy) to see Brave. I heart me some Pixar!
What are you all seeing?

Well I couldn't quite say them all then that would be a one sided conversation of a blue-icee hopped up tween! Geeze...
.. but yes.. Prometheus is on the list.. a spooky part of said list but on it none the less.

Well I plan to see the new American Pie tonight. Can't wait for Prometheus and for The Dark Knight. The new spiderman looks pretty awesome too, follows the old storyline more and seems much darker.

The Raven looks interesting. Loves me some Poe.

I loves me some poe too.

I think Promethius looks interesting, as does the Avengers, but other than that I haven't seen much to get me interested (granted, I haven't been paying much attention either...)

I'm a Men in Black (and Josh Brolin) fan. Also, I may end up watching Battleship.

I gotta say, Total Recall looks like the coolest thing that will be out this summer (even making exception for the release of Battleshitp and Avengers).

Battleship looks like a very interesting movie that I will probably go see. It is after all, directed by the director of transformers.

I saw Avengers last Sunday.. It was awesome! I loved the dialogues too, I must say, its a job well done. Go see it if you haven't yet.
Also can't wait for Prometheus, Men in Black, the new Spidey and Total Recall... Seems like its gonna be a great year.

Prometheus will get my money. I'm interested in the Avengers too.
I think, as in previous years, the 'best' movie will go to something a little more under the radar, I don't hold out much hope for the blockbuster, popcorn movies being anything more than a bit of a swashbuckle and some comic relief.
I wonder what the Coen Bros. are cooking up.

Avengers was excellent. Probably the first Marvel movie where hulk was interesting. Surprising well done. Worth the ticket.
Men in Black. I would say "not again," but it actually does look amusing.
Dark Shadows. It's now a comedy, looks stupid as hell, but it's still Tim Burton getting back to his Bettlejuice roots.
Prometheus. Unsure. It has that campy horror movie wrapped in scifi vibe. Usually an awful thing. Maybe I'm just still getting over the disappointment of Sunshine.
Brave... The more I see, the less interested I am. The whole women subjugated by society is just not a relevant theme in modern America. I doubt most of the girls it's targeted at will care about that bit. I see silly Pixar Disney things in theaters all the time with my wife. I guess that doesn't count as creepy?

prometheus does look amazing. Avengers was amazing. Highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. the new dark knight is what i'm looking forward to the most this summer. The avengers was the first movies ive seen in over a year at the theatres but it was really worth it. I saw it in 3d but honestly the 3d part was not really that necessary, imo. It did look really good but there really weren't any minding blowing scenes that seemed to have taken advantage of the 3d in any crazy way. but what a good movie.

Glad you said the 3D wasn't worth it. That "feature" of most films is entirely unnecessary and is there to justify charging an even more than normal ridiculous amount of money for a ticket. I'm planning to take the boy (and wife and girl if they're interested) to go see Avengers, maybe as early as tonight.
The only movies I've gotten to see in theaters the past several years are kids movies. But the boy will be 10 this summer and he and I watched the Matrix this past weekend (he hadn't been allowed to see it before) and he was all about it. We've seen all the individual Marvel movies for the characters in Avengers so Avengers is a definite. I also had the wife measure his height about a month back and...he is now tall enough to ride most rollercoasters.
In other words, my son has now entered "the cool years".
Also, the Dark Knight will almost certainly get my money...but not much else. Hard to justify a $40-$50 outing when I can watch it on the big screen at home within a few months for $5.
