Document a hierarchical database

Posted 10 May 2012 - 11:23 AM

This is something I need for my thesis.

I'm using a hierarchical database modeled like a XML document on my software and I need some ideas to represent it using diagrams like the conceptual, logical and physical model of a relational database. All that I have seen are tree like structures.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, those three are indeed tree structures.. they all provide a different way of conceptualizing and handling the data.

A hierarchy is a tree structure, right?
