I forgot the root password of mysql 5. How can I recover this password? It's possible?
I use Windows 7 and MySQL Server 5.5

You mean like the password reset information in the MYSQL 5 reference manual?

What modi123_1 posted was for MySQL 5.0. The instructions for 5.5 are slightly different.
The only difference is that is uses mysqld.exe rather than mysqld-nt.exe.
