What does everyone have planned? No.. let me back that up - do you have a three day weekend or just the mundane two day'er?

One of our river marinas is finally opening up today - after a year being closed due to flooding. I expect a high number of accidents to be reported by Tuesday. There are random block events and festival-ish things going on..

Though for me personally it collapses down to trying to diagnose why my windshield wiper reservoir drained out on me a few days ago, avoid the mid nineties heat and humidity, grill, and mass at the cemetery on Monday morning. Oh and not going to jail because my cousin likes to drag me into shenanigans.

What about all of you? Squirreled away playing Diablo3? Summer cleaning? Road trips to Dollywood with the fam?

Three Day'er here. Hopefully got to go home early, but that's up to the boss. I'm assuming he's going to want to get the fuck out of dodge at 3pm, since he's already wearing shorts. I never see that guy in shorts.

I think tomorrow my friends new girlfriend is doing a cookout thing, so we'll probably go to that. Monday, since I have the day off, is going to be spent at COSI (Sciency, hands-on exploration museum type thing) with First Born. In between, as much Diablo3 as I can manage. Maybe some housework.

Three days. Got a stack of books backed up, so it's going to be gallons of coffee and a lot of reading.

I'm also planning on a nice long bike ride tomorrow - Concord or Walden Pond, maybe - and playing a few tunes. I'm a flute player now, but my lip is still pretty weak, so I need to play every day. Some programming, of course, but I'm going to keep the machine turned off during the daylight, so I can get some other stuff done.

Actually, that's pretty much my flute, a Skip Healy three piece. I also have a slightly irregular Casey Burns with an unfortunate crack in the head joint. I need to find someone to fix that crack, the Burns is a really sweet instrument.

@jon - Nice.. At best I was ill trained in the third grade on a recorder... and many years later I snatched one up at my grocery store on a beer run. Less than thirty minutes into working my fluting knowledge to the surface my friend snapped it in half. Damn you hot crossed buns!

I have a three day weekend. w00t!

Tonight, I'll be dining alone on the finest frozen cuisine carried at the local Food Lion, then the kids come home and I get them off to bed, followed by an exciting new episode of DIC-TV (I hope!).

Tomorrow, I'll be loading up the younguns and heading out to a local campground to spend the day with some family who will actually be staying there. The offer was extended for the kids and I to stay as well, but I remember hating camping in high school and my 11-year-old told me, "I don't do tents."

Sunday, we're likely be headed to church (I must appease my mommy once in awhile), followed by my nephew's graduation party which will last into the wee hours.

Monday, we'll be out and about for the Memorial Day parade and veterans ceremony and 21-gun salute at the local cemetery and placing flowers on my grandfathers' graves (both WWII vets). Later in the day, we'll be headed to my aunt's house for a picnic.

... and then it'll be over.

We busted ass this month and got out all the orders pending so I shut the shop down and gave everyone a four-day weekend. Gonna relax for a bit and then get some stuff done around the house and yard. Probably a lot of late evenings in the jacuzzi with the girlfriend while the nights are so nice. Only bad thing to this is going back Tuesday to an empty looking warehouse. Going to have to re-stock everything Can't complain though, it's a good problem to have.

For most Memorial Day is just a long weekend, stores have sales, the unofficial start of summer, excuse to get away from the significant others by fishing/bbq/drinking.

For me I will think about all my brothers and sisters that have died in battle serving our beautiful country and a few friends I served with.
