Anyone a fan of the browser based MMORTS game, Tribal Wars?

I played it years ago, and they recently opened a new world. Figured I might give it a shot again, just for shits and giggles. It doesn't appear to have changed too much, which is kinda cool, because every other game I've played like this: Star Kingdoms, Utopia, etc all see to want to connect to Facebook, and they want you to pay for crap you don't really need. When you get a decent group together, it can be a decently fun genre.


If we get enough members, we could start a D.I.C. Tribe.

Only reading through those rules made my head dizzy... But if some other players are willing to join, I might also join.

Its not really all that difficult, and for whatever reason, I've always been drawn to the time based strategy games where you level up your town's resources and structures, build an army and attack other players. I've always thought about trying to make one of my own, but I've wondered how dedicated of a fanbase I could find.

Also, while my hosting plan is practically unlimited, I realize that to run something like that with a couple thousand players, you'd probably need a very robust bandwidth.

I actually played that game during the beta (I play all kinda of games for S's & G's).

After about 5 days of caffeine fueled building and waiting, my village was conquered and I was prompted to start again.

I'm not sure whether or not it's still like that, but no thank you.

Its still a possibility, but the World I invited you all to started up on May 21st, so all kingdoms are at most, a week old. It takes a long time to get big enough to get conquered, and most villages are still in protection. People are just starting to ban together and form Tribes.
