Well, the script is something you'd have to write yourself. As a short explanation, you'd write the script that once it fired from the onchange event handler, it would go and reset to the default value, all select fields that follow the one that fired. The Javascript to do the resetting is fairly straightforward and a reasonable example can be found here.

If you don't quite get that ('cause JS can be a little less than obvious), try visiting our Javascript forum and ask the nice fellas there.

Insofar as how you would do a QofQ against a previous query (cached or uncached) I'll refer you to check into the CFQUERY attribute called "dbtype" (used instead of datasource) as well as the Query of Queries user guide.

Check those resources out and you should be set in no time.
