A good Wordpress Theme to modify for Portfolio

Hi there!
I wanted to create my own online portfolio but Im not that really good at designing..
I can do simple modifications but I dont know what would be a good theme to modify..
Could anyone recommend me some WP theme that would be good and Id prefer free themes.. xD

I presume you flipped through all the themes on the wordpress site, right?
