I am a little confused at what you are asking let me get this stright
you are trying to creat an object called microwave and give it the attributes
Key Pad
Door
High Power
Defrost
Timer
Clock

is that right? And if so what exactly is your questtion?

mabye this will help?

an object in real life has more than one atribute. using a simple single value variable does not really describe a microwave. for example you could weigh the microwave and give it a value for weight but that does not really tell you whats a microwave nor what it does.
I am an object I have many differnet body parts I have a shape I have a color I have a weight so what you do in programing is you creat a model of me using the attributes important for the situation. in other words you creat an object that can take on each of the important attributes and assine it values for the desired attributes.

atributes of person=
age:
gender:
eye color:
height:
wight:
now you have a class person with all the attributes you want to use to model a person in real life.

now to creat an object wich holds a value for each of these attributes.
person me =
age: I am 21
gender: I am a boy
eye color: I have blue eyes
height: I am 6' tall
wight: I weigh 150 lbs

other posters please feel free to make corections in my logic or wording.

From the SW point of view:

Object IS.
Method DOES.
Attribute DESCRIBES. (object has this property)

It's hard to think of a colour without something being of that colour. => Colour is usually an attribute of an object.

If you talk about the application field, nouns and infinitive form verbs are often objects.
Nouns that describe amounts are usually attributes (unless they have descriptive properties).
