Female programmers

In all my time as a programmer I have never met a good female programmer. So that brings me to my question, are there no female programmers??

Allow me to be the first to critique the phrasing of your post. You stated you in fact have never met a "good" female programmer, thus leading you to your logical conclusion of that there must be no female programmers.
However, my good sir, if you have never met a "good" female programmer, then you must have met at least one female programmer. Ergo, there are in fact female programmers.
Q.E.D.

This is a bit of a bizarre topic to me as a simple Google search would have yielded your results and yet there have been numerous threads like this. Of course there are female programmers and whilst there may be a lot more males than female programmers, that does not mean that women are bad at programming. Here is a female programmer that accomplished more than most will.

In all my time as a programmer, I've never met a Nigerian who wasn't royalty in desperate need of my bank account information to aid in getting his millions out of the country.

what about NeoTifa...O wait, nvm; you said "good"
actually false, if he had never met any female programers then he would've never met any good ones either; you inferred that he had met female programer by his qualification of the type of female programers he had met.

I can take a lot of things but one thing I will never allow is anybody bad mouthing my country or my people. Just because some people have spoilt our image does not mean all Nigerians are like that. So please keep your opinions about nigerians to yourself and I say this respectfully, shove it!!
Sorry if I pissed of anybody. Was just wondering, I am not reaching any conclusions but was just wondering. Like I said in all my time as a programmer. I actually didn't say I have never met a female programmer, I just have never met a good one. It does not mean they don't exist.

Okay.. let me break this down.
OP - in your limited experience you have met women who program but are, by some standard, not good at it. You then further imply that there are no 'good' women programmers.
What benign was, humorously, trying to say is that in her limited experience she has only interact with the 419 scammers and, following your logical extraction, that ALL Nigerians are 419'ers..
See.. it's a funny play on the logic that you put forth - even more so when it came from a good female programmer.
Though now that I have explained the joke the funny has been killed... sad.

This needs more Ricky Bobby in it...

Mr. Dennit: What did you just say to me?
Ricky: What? I said it with all due respect!
Mr. Dennit: Just because you say that doesn't mean you get to say whatever you want to say to me!
Ricky: It sure as hell does!
Mr. Dennit: No, it doesn't--
Ricky: It's in the Geneva Conventions, look it up!
