Hi all,

So I think it's time to revive the signature of the month competitions. We will start with a free for all regarding themes and then the winner of this months competition can choose the theme for the next.

• Signatures must not exceed 400x100
  
• Signatures must contain your username
  
• Competition will end 7th July 2012

Winners will receive this signature bar to wear with pride. "Is that solid gold?" I hear you ask. Well yes, yes it is.

May I ask why the signature must contain my username? Just wondering.

It goes all the way back to when we first started having these, but basically it is so we can be sure that you at least modified the image you are calling your own. Some people will just take a signature they like from another site and claim it for themselves even though it has a different username (saying something like "I use this username for other things").

We want people to put their own effort into signatures just like we want people to put their own effort into code they need help on.

It's just the requirement of the competition, and (generally speaking) most forum signature images contain the user's name.
