any time there is an URL containing expression, the served URL is broken. (inserting between p and r). is there any way to fix that?

The only way I've found around it is to use something like goo.gl to bypass it. I'm sure there was a thread about this around here somewhere. (Can't seem to find it now though.)
It's an interesting bug, though. I can't think why the BBCode parser would do that. Why that particular word only, and why in that particular position?!

as far as I can see, the position of the word expression doesn’t seem to be of importance.

Yea, I meant the position between the p and r inside the word.

I’ve seen other forum software, where it (seemingly) randomly inserts the Acronym display for "Page Rank" into words with "pr".

This is an extremely well known bug on this site. It's been reported over and over again, and as of yet there hasn't been anything they can do. Hopefully it will be patched in the next release.

We have the new version of the forum software on a test server. I just tested, and the Expression bug will be fixed on the newest release of DIC!
