I'm not exactly sure where to start or who to ask so I placed this here.
Currently I am attempting to simulate backtrack 5 using VMware. As many may know, VMware only allows USB wireless devices and not PCI cards. So my questions are these...
Is it possible to have a wireless card send its information to a median that acts as a wireless USB so that VMware picks up the USB as a wireless when in reality it is pulling from the PCI wireless card?
If that is possible what language would I have to write in and what are some pointers to help me establish that goal?
Would it be easier to use some sort of USB storage device as a median instead of emulating a a fake one?
If there is anything else I can provide please let me know.

Well I need a summer project so its a nice place to start. Besides, I'm a poor college student with more time than money (yeah I know their 6$ but I already own the wireless card)
Also I've been looking around and finding that this problem is shared by many others so why not give them a nice alternative?
