Wordpress announced the new version of their popular blogging software. Wordpress 2.2 offers several new features including:
* WordPress Widgets
* Full Atom support
* Infinite comment stream
And some stuff for developers too.
Check it out and make sure you upgrade, there's some bug fixes and I imagine a few security fixes too.

The integrated Widgets support is huge, the ease of slapping together a layout with widgets is amazing.

Lulz. I've upgraded the day it went out. Upgrading wordpress isnt exactly the most extreme thing one can do. No loss whatsoever, so don't be afraid and upgrade.
And BTW, 2.2.1 has been out for 20 days or so I think.

Man, I am sorry to ask...but I have been having issue installing Worpress on a Server running Ubuntu LAMP (Fiesty). I tried to install and it doesn't work. I followed the instructions on their site but I can't get the stupid mysql database to work correctly.
