If the goal is the get hammered, you might just as well go for vodka and call it a night.

I generally stay away from parties where the object is to get hammered, nailed, or screwed. I don't like hanging out with a bunch of tools.

In college, I drank a lot of Captain Morgan's private stock. About a year ago, while traveling in the Caribbean I came across a rum called "Kraken", and it has been my favorite ever since (Sidenote: If you're ever in Puerto Rico, take a tour of the Bacardi distillery, it's amazing!). It's very inexpensive, but has a strong, full flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Because of the flavor, this rum really should be enjoyed and savored. That being said, friends of mine have said that it goes great with coca-cola, and I absolutely love it mixed with local egg nog.

About a month ago, I came across some more Captain Morgan's private stock... it was disgusting. After having Kraken, I can't drink that swill anymore.

Also, I really like White Russians, although my next white russian will be made with clear rum rather than vodka... I think it'll be good.

EDIT:
lol, I overlooked that some of you guys were already talking about Kraken!

As for beer, I really like Carib. I also found that one in the Caribbean, but I've seen it a few times in the US. Locally, I never see it, but when I was in North Carolina, some of the grocery stores had it.

Also, that toasted almond drink benign mentioned... I must have one, nao.

cerverza?

I have a general aversion to amaretto drinks, thanks to a horrific high school night (might have been New Year's?) where I drank everything that wasn't nailed down across several abodes. The last thing to enter my body -- and the first to exit -- was amaretto. I can still taste that shit.

I like cooking with sherry, various other wines, beer and occasionally cognac, bourbon or whiskey...does that count? the few other things my parents keep like vodka and coconut rum(never plain rum for some reason) I don't use. I kinda want to use the coconut rum in a desert however :P

Kahlua with coconut milk (rarely have I found a bar with coconut milk), or straight.

Hennessy straight.

Red wines (I like to try different ones, no particular favorite).

For beer, I like dark beers, like Guinness. I'll do Corona also, especially in the summer. XX (dos equis) aint too bad either.

When I spent a weekend in Kenya, they have a good lager - Tusker Malt. I had another beer that I cannot remember the name, but was strong as hell.
