Microsoft has not released any information about Windows 9 as of yet, but many older things (lack of a better word) live on in Windows 8, such as archaic MIDI controls and the much despised registry.

Ebay? Craigslist? Having the install medium from twenty years ago handed down in a ritual of animal sacrifice and tithes? Plenty of ways..

ROFLMAO SixOfEleven's definately right about that pact.
Seriously, I just told them at work last week "No.I will not support your VB 6 app." Go find some other sucker. From now on I'm going to pretend I don't know how to support it.
I hated VB6. ActiveX was the worst. Even a couple years after .Net came out I largely ignored it because I assumed it was no better than what came before. That was back when I insisted on doing everything in C++ no matter how simple and straight forward. C# was the only thing that changed that.
Anyway, I'm pretty certain you guys are right about it being animal sacrifices and tithes to Satan.

Well, VB6 does have its audience and its marketshare. I've only used it for one application, and I didn't find it that bad. I sure preferred it to Java. But, in all honesty, I think it's time to kill VB6.
