What? Does it store on crystals?

I distinctly remember something saying it has a Hard disk drive: 250 GB SATA hard disk drive. ;)

I'm buying the Pro. If I understand correctly that gives me a full on OS correct? Even so, I don't see myself using the tablet to actually do anything business on it except reading email and whatnot. Maybe the occasional mockup, if Balsamiq works well on it (regarding the touch controls).

it does, which is why it makes no sense you are still referring to it as a classic tablet when it's a computer with a keyboard and a touchpad and mouse buttons and a full version of windows 8 that runs office and photoshop and millions of other applications.

sure, it does the tablet stuff AS WELL, but this is a computer. why are you already limiting what you do with the device months before you can even purchase it? the game has changed. you aren't buying a tablet. you are buying the worlds most flexible ultrabook.

Hopefully if this new job comes through, I will have enough money for the 128GB Pro model when it is released... This is the only tablet that I have seen that has gotten me excited enough to consider buying it. Without the desktop side of Win 8 Pro, you might as well just buy an iPad. It would probably be cheaper.

I can't wait until they release the final specs for the first gen release. Part of me is hoping that they go with a SSD instead of an HDD, due to the heat issues. With such a small package, there will surely be a lack of adequate cooling and having to constantly worry about my tablet overheating while watching some HD movies with that awesome HDMI output would be a damn shame.

Of course the lights are off. Otherwise she might wake up.

No prices have been announced yet and probably won't for at least a few months.

Not bad for pricing, competitive as it eyes out the Android tablets and iPads. The 128GB storage is am major plus.(If I read that here.)

Because it has a small screen and keyboard. You aren't... you aren't actually planning on using this for dev work? I need at least 27'' for screen estate. I worked with a screen that big once before, I'll never go back.

I wouldn't always use it for dev work, but I don't generally use my laptop for that anyway: that's what my desktop is for. But I've had to do work while traveling before, and I'm sure that this will be more pleasant to travel with. If you primarily work from a laptop (and thus probably sport a 17" or 19" monstrosity that needs to be plugged in constantly and will melt your quads if you set it in your lap), then this probably won't replace it. My desktop is my workhorse, so I can definitely see this being my *other* computer. I'm unusually excited for this to come out.
