Hello All I am looking for the best websites that people go to to get web graphics such as web buttons and web backgrounds etc. I know people have sites that they go to for graphics and things like that rather than creating them all from scratch in Photoshop. Also if these websites were royalty free that would be ideal...thanks.

There is no way we would know what your needs are for art.
Cartoons or wedding photography... Oil rigs or medical equipment...

I heard there is this super new thing called... frak what what is?... Oh yeah, a search engine. Apparently its a website that lets you search for things just by typing in a few words like "Royalty free clip art" or some such. I bet they'll catch on some day.

Gee thanks so much. I didn't know those existed. They sound like great tool, I guess it was silly of me to ask if any professional designers had some go to websites. But I guess they all are so smart and use those fancy search engines. Your so smart and wow you post a lot that means your so helpful!

Actually maybe you should try and act less condescending and realize that maybe I did do some searching and figured you "experts" would have some legit advice and maybe some common decency to want to help people. Turns out nope! You just call out people. Thanks for nothing!!!

Sure.. you can't really swing a stick without hitting someone out there.. though your view of things is not how I see it. I don't go searching for some well to tap repeatedly for projects, but instead I have a giant folder of links and screenshots of things I found interesting. I build up a scrap book of things I might use later and flip through it for ideas when I am cranking something out. why have one person's view and style as your go-to? Open up to world of sifting through data and build your own style.

Though if you keep up on some of the major sites they tend to have freebees peppered through their content... which is usually about the third thing I might care about when I hit the site.

Geezz... Ya try to throw a little humor at something rather than say "What should I expect? If you're too lazy to make your own unique art then I should expect you're too lazy to do your own searching." and still rookies have to get an attitude problem. Just another example of: Why so many of us steer clear of rookies.

I found what I was looking for. Figured I would update this post for everyone in case they have the same sort of question. I found a site called graphicriver.net. It costs money but they have some quality stuff for pretty good prices($2 or $3)for most of them.

You can just make your own pretty quickly by googling whatever you're looking for. For example:

I googled "button" and found this:


Then open that image on photoshop and add text to it/change colors, etc.

there are many good site on the search engines .. i think this is not a good place to find some art.. we can help you if you stuck in designing..
