This is not stopping my solution from working but just an oddity/curiosity.



Notice the files highlighted in yellow. ObservedFolderUC.xaml.cs is the code behind for ObservedFolderUC.xaml. So why isn't Visual Studio nesting it like it should; like seen on the SideBar UserControl?

I couldn't even think of a good set of terms to google for this one "WPF UserControl file hierarchy"... "solution explorer"... "file nesting" and all variants I tried come up with a lot about binding to nested controls. But nothing about how the files are being associated in Visual Studio itself.

Sorry, never had this issue in my projects... maybe this thread could have something you haven't tried?

You are a god! That was exactly the situation. No idea how the file got that corruption. But edited the .cprog file in WordPad to nest one object in the other and it opened back up just fine.
