Creating and connecting to a server

Posted 25 June 2012 - 07:24 PM

Hey all. I'm trying to make a game using Microsoft Visual C#. It's played in a form, with buttons and data showing up in text and list boxes. I'd like to make it multi-player, with the user connecting to a server and a chat channel where they can communicate with and challenge each other. I have a godaddy domain connected with Dream Weaver, but I'm hoping I can code most if not all of it in C# rather than use Dream Weaver. What I have in mind is a button named "Connect" on the main form that connects the user and puts them into a default channel, which I'll probably need to set up somehow. No clue where to start so any help at all is appreciated.
