After much anticipation, Groovy 2.0 was released today. This release takes advantage of many of the new Java 7 features including those in Project Coin and Invoke Dynamic. It also adds optional static type checking an compilation to the language and makes Groovy more modular by separating feature sets out into separate JARs.
