Let me help all ya'll out some. If you're traveling in the more gastronomically civilized parts of our great country you might have the good fortune to see something like this:
If you speak the language and have currency, they'll give you something like this:
Some more discerning vendors will offer a cajun flavor option in addition to the normal boiled option. Either one provides a superior (if not neat) snacking experience. As a tip: make sure to ask for a "hull bag" (occasionally pronounced "hool").
