Since it's summer, i wanted to learn some new technology. I am one of those guys that does not jump into new technologies without researching them. I have my eyes on JavaFX and wanted to know whether you guys think it's already "stable enough". I mean, from the research i found out that, before version 2.0 they made it a scripting language, and since version 2 (and now 2.1) it's more java/swing like. So do you guys think it's now time to jump on this technology or do you expect a big spin again.

A similar discussion on this topic was started some time ago in the Advanced Discussion sub forum, and it didn't go very far. Either few people check that forum or there's just not much thought on the topic here. I'm interested but have to wait until the technology matures for the Linux environment.

You could learn it now and by the time you mastered it, i am sure it will be available for Linux. (At least thats what internet says!)
