Now being uncouth - *THAT* I can believe would be from any teenager on a given day.. of course when it comes to patriotism sometimes blunt is better when marking yoru territory.

Sure your average teen may just be spouting jingoistic rhetoric, but I would imagine there are a fist full that are honestly just patriotic. I know it pisses me off when I see people sporting US flag boxers or dragging along the flag. You know - basic shit that the US flag code outlines is a no-no.. but what am I going to do? Take my thirteen year old fists of fury and beat them? Naw..

I never really gave much of a rip about a flag, but for some reason it rubs me the wrong way when I see people sticking up a flag outside their house, never taking it down (ie, at night or in "inclement weather"), letting it get all tattered and dirty. Doesn't seem much of a way to show respect for a symbol, in my book.

As for the Great Sprinkles Issue... meh. Too much free time, not enough to think about. If they were worth paying attention to, they wouldn't be spending their time flaming each other on the internet, would they?

I believe the vulgarity was on the part of the 200 epic reply on the OP's #3 girl-friend.

Oh and let me preempt the OP's next post:

probably for the same reason you decided to come here and post about someone elses facebook status, and your subsequent trolling of said status.

@jon
that was on the facebook status, just didn't post it, I was saying that just because someone put a sprinkle on a doughnut doesn't mean people should be so rude and mean. There are people every day in America that complain about what is wrong with America and say they hate it, blah blah blah we need a revolution, and just crazy stuff. But, I never really see people yelling at them to leave the country. Would you really care if someone put red, white, and green sprinkles on a doughnut on July 4th (assuming that you are from America..)

@modi
not my girlfriend, ex girl friend.

Benzoate, simple solution. She should take her shirt off & provide photos. That's the only way to settle this pesky Canada, USA thing.

Really? REALLY?! Sure.. you are right. The love it or leave it concept has not made it's way into main stream media presentation of news stories or what not. Nope - that whole anti-establishment "thing" (such as "Occupy X") never had people yelling at the stinking hippies loaf-arounds to get out.

*i-i-i-nhale*

If it was *just* a donut probably not, but get all obnoxious about it yelling "nanna-nanna-boo-boo stick your head in doo doo" afterwards to call attention that you are doing this whole "Sprinkle-gate" specifically to be a twat ( or just to bite your thumb towards), and then get all butt hurt because people are calling them out on the facebooks.. and *gasp* god forbid they might be mean to the thumb-biter (but hey - tots have to keep them as friend so the friend count is at least a cool 667) meaning that person can't take criticism well nor comprehend how others could perceive this is an issue; all of this compounded by a confused OP who thought s/he would get some sort of accolades off the lullz on people but instead just failing to remember the empathy song (empathy empathy - put yourself in the place of me) and that would have saved the post from occurring.

That is main stream media, not a blue sprinkle. But I'm not going to get into an argument about Occupy X because I don't know a lot about it, but anyway. Love it or Leave it is a terrible concept, if everyone followed that then we would never have change in the world and everything would be like it is now forever, and the world isn't exactly in a great place. Waving nuclear weapons around threatining to fire them at people is TERRIBLE, killing innocents and civilians and such. Anyway.. enough about that.

I agree that she should of just left it with the doughnut thing and not of done the whole "nanna-nanna-boo-boo" thing, that was completely stupid. I obviously see how this could be an issue but isn't it a little extreme to go all out insulting and raging, why not simply say "that insults me, and I would appreciate if you didn't do it again" instead of insulting her and insulting all of america and telling people to leave the country. Finally, I can't really tell if the final part is about me or her, but if it is about me, I am not confused and wasn't looking for lullz or empathy, I was trying to make a post about how people go to extremes over little stuff. If you meant her, she was trying to get lullz from people on facebook, but not empathy I don't believe.

Wait - are you saying it is better to herd a large number of people, with gulf of variant ideologies, in small and confined plots of land than say breaking people free of the ideological construct of "I was brought into this world on this random patch of land inside these imaginary lines and I am part of a collective I didn't choose" versus "Here's a subset of people that all share the same morals and values and work to a common community view"? Hmm.. interesting. Why be another nameless crab in the bucket all pulling each other down as one nears the rim because everyone is competing against each other, but instead be part of an ideologically cohesive unit working in more harmony because base tenets and values are shared across the unit than say the chaos offered by said gulf of different opinions.

There are various degrees of "go all out insulting and raging" so I am unable to identify with you on if you might just be overreacting because you have covert feelings for this ex - this girl who dumped you, or if people were genuinely being over the line.

why not simply say "that insults me, and I would appreciate if you didn't do it again" instead of insulting her and insulting all of america and telling people to leave the country.

Why do people do anything? Why does a mother drown her crying infant when she could have called someone to help, why does a guy ram another vehicle for cutting him off in public, or why can't you just chill out with your buddy - naked under a Miami overpass - without him gnawing your face off? People are a cacophony of chemicals, hormones, and jacked up synapses. Of course the other, more direct answer, might be - your ex-girlfriend brought it on herself and deserved it. Hell I don't know - I am only going off the limited information you provided and trying to take into account the possibility of false victimization.

Waaaaaaaait a minute there sugar britches. Are you telling me you are confused why people get all worked up over sprinkles when you just said this broad was BAITING people on facebook for pure joy of being a twat? See that shows me there was some shit between the sprinkle comment and the first "geeee't out!" reply.

Next time I would avoid making a post to show off, or garner sympathy for, the ex-woman's verbal battles on her facebook wall.

I never said that I would prefer everyone being the exact same, I meant that we all have to support each other and accept each other's differences.

Trust me, this is genuinely about people crossing over the line, I don't care if it is somebody I don't even know that this is happening to, people shouldn't treat each other like this.

I would like to inform you my pants aren't made out of sugar. lol but anyway. And no I didn't say that she was baiting for empathy, around here that is a saying for no.. my apologies that you didn't understand that. Also, there wasn't anything between the post and the get out comment, trust me. :)

I wasn't making a post to show off, or garner sympathy for a friend's verbal battle. You turned it into that, this was originally a post about people going to extremes over what was supposed to be a stupid little joke, while you had to blow it out of proportion and make it seem like I was trying to gain sympathy for her.

Next time, I would avoid commenting on something and blowing it out of proportion into something else.

Hint: One scenario attempts to force people into a cohesive bond in spite of their differences. The other causes war.

They're sprinkles. Sure, she was being a little on the immature side by making a point of choosing another countries colors and bragging about it. But jesus christ, she's a kid. Kids do stupid crap. Who cares what color her sprinkles were. When I begin to seriously draw parallels between my national pride and what colors I garnish my pastry with, I can only hope i'm too old to know better anymore.
