You need to say precisely what you mean by that. And which program btw?

Hi,
For eg: any application like eclipse or netbean is running in a linux system. I just want to remotely monitor it i.e will be able to start, stop and report back his health.. all this i should be able to do from my system to a remote system.

That's quite tricky actually. Firstly, if the system is remote, you're going to need to get a remote shell to it. I suggest you do some investigation into that first. e.g

Oh, okay.
At first can you tell how can i do such monitoring in local system. So, that it will be helpful to think about remote procedure. I don't know how to do with local system's even. No idea.
Please help!!

Are these running processes always to be started by your app?

Hi,
No, not a running process. My app should be able to start an application and able to stop it.!

We are not a code writing service. What have you tried? Have you tried coding anything? If not, give it a shot! You might even find it fun and you will learn something.
*** Edit ***
Scratch most of that. This is your third topic on this and you have not shown any code on your part. You had two Mentors in this thread giving you good advice.
