Thanks--

I believe my index and games pages are now valid html. I am working on the tutorials page but it needs a bit more work. I also intend to make those tables scrollable and have fixed headings.

I have had such a headache with the nav bar and IE. In IE the mouse goes crazy over it (seems IE cannot hover over a transparent div?).

I hope after fixing up html and tables I can go back to working on the nav. I also liked the old effect :D

I was using IE9 to browse the site and from what I recall you're right. IE9 usually only hovers over opaque items. I'd consider putting it back that way and tell your users to use Chrome or Firefox to browser your site. :P

I have considered it but I am afraid to lose potential users :(

I may have to give up on IE though. It's such a pain... it seems all other browsers have worked nicely.

Hello,
I took a look at the website, I like everything in the website but you should make it so that people dont have to scroll to right and left.I mean that its in %100 zoom.

By the way i see you are making programing tutorials on your website about python.I am gonna add your website to my startup pages so i can see when you start doing them.

Good luck! I am looking forward to see the python tutorials because i want to learn it, so i will keep a eye out for them!

Thanks-- keep an eye on the forum as well. We will be posting a number of Python tutorials for beginners upward.

I will take a look at the width of the website. :)

I believe I have fixed all html errors in all pages.. I also made my tutorial page tables scrollable. That way when I have more tutorials they will have scroll bars and I won't have to worry about breaking my height etc.

Yep, it is valid. As for the width I personally always use relative sizes. A min-width that fits a 800x600 window and a max-width that's optimized for 1366x768. and of course a relative height as well.

I just finished a scrollable table for my tutorials page. I don't have enough entires to make it scroll yet though. I also edited the table's header and background and border. I tried to make it fit better with the page... not sure how well I did.

I do know IE doesn't resize the table - scrollbar correctly... not sure what to do about that. I guess IE users will have a slightly funky scrollbar.

I also need to look into handling widths better for mobiles and small browsers.

:D

Slowly but surely getting there.

I added two more tutorials too.

I have updated a bit-- if anyone has the time to check out my tutorials page please let me know what you think of the table... and if you know of any way to make it looks nicer on FF and IE.

Hello everyone. I am working on starting an indie game studio and started cracking away at a website from scratch. As a disclaimer, I must warn you I am a programmer at heart but web development is certainly not my forte! This is the first site I have ever done.

My site link => HERE.

I could also use a forum review-- I am slowly trying to build up the content and fix issues.

I know the site is horrid in IE and I need to "center" vertically as well as horizontally. Any thoughts?

Good Work....

If I might make a suggestion, try and have the table on the tutorial page so that entries aren't cut off. The last entry is only half displayed, in Firefox, when the page first loads. It would be better if you only displayed whole entries initially. Don't worry too much about the scroll bar and entries just the initial view. I also noticed that your table header is slight larger than the table. You will probably want to fix that.

Thanks-- I didn't know they got cut off. My screen is large so I often forget to test anything else. I will certainly try fixing that and the header.
