Gallery Preparation
Posted 07 July 2012 - 03:50 AM
I'm making a flash website, and the customer would like a gallery. This is all good, the website is beautiful and such, but how would I prepare for any amount of images? It's not as if I can have a HTML container and the area for the images would have a CSS element of overflow: auto.
I know that it IS possible, I just don't know how I would go about it.
This website is written in AS2.0.
Thanks in advance, any help appreciated.

A big movieclip that acts as mask to a row of images.
This stuff might help.
Thanks for the reply, but I don't think I explained myself clear. I don't want a viewer - so to speak, I want an image selector, but to be prepared for say, 5 images and then also be prepared for say 25 images. Because I want to be able to select any one of those images, I can't just place a certain amount of movieclips and hope that they only upload that amount of images.
Do you understand what I mean? I'm not sure if I'm wording it right.
Thanks again

Well, this looks good, but I don't know how they prepare for any amount of images. It's all confusing.
Thanks for your reply

Thanks, that does look really helpful, but I was hoping to do my gallery in AS2.0 and the provided information is for AS3.0.
I'll try and work up some script and see if I can shed some more light on my intentions and seek help on how I could better my methods -- if it all.
Watch this space.
Thanks
