I've been reading that book by Scott Rogers, who has designed a number of games including Pac Man World and the Maximo series. Has anybody else read this book? Did you find it to be a good book? I'm find it to be a good book and has me looking more at the design aspects that go into a game rather than just coding it. That has always been my weakness when it comes to making games. I can code just about anything but my designs usually aren't very original.
I'd seriously suggest taking a look at if you want to do any kind of game development. It leans more to the professional side of game development, like you would do if you were working as a designer in a studio, but has great advice for the hobbyist as well. I think it is well worth putting on your eReader or adding it to your library.

If anyone's looking for a link.
Side question - how does that stack up against The Art of Game Design: A book of lenses by Jesse Schell?

I've never read that book. Looks like another that I'm going to be adding to my eReader.
