Dear Members,

I'm looking to make a menu to be fixed something like

http://www.zendesk.com/

Initially on its current location, as scrolled the menu sticks on with the scrolling.

I tried with child theme and given the code

#navigation {
position: fixed;
top: 35px;
z-index: 5555;
}

It doesn;t seem to be working.

Need assistance please

simply give their class to your menu. and place their css files in correct place.

Buddy I can do that but I won't gain any knowledge. I want to know the code which makes the difference. How is it possible that menu-nav stays at its own position and once scrolled down it also start moving down.

css position:fix does that.first of all go through css tutorial (available thousands of them in thei internet.) and try to write a own menu. there are also tutorial for that.

what I think is when u come acorss each css that u dont have right understand, refer the resources.
that's the css. otherwise u have to ask question by question.

I did have look on SOURCE file on chrome browser, what I see is when its on top,

<div> ... </div>

And as soon as scrolled it changes to

<div style="position: fixed; top: 1px......">..</div>

So I was curious whether he is making use of Child theme or its element.style on parent theme.

Yes something like that. I need a similar navbar but not sure how to do it. I have coded same to certain extend but not successful.

I can't tell you what you have done wrong without seeing your code.

I can't troubleshoot my work by looking at Google's code just as I can't troubleshoot your work by looking at Zendesk's code.
