Hi, I'm new hear but what I'm trying to workout (which i can't find on Google or anywhere) is how can i make a prototype program that loads up 10 video's and converts/puts them all into one file e.g .rhd and then how would you create another program/prototype that simply loads the .rhd file and lets you read/play the movie files which you can switch between with 10 radio buttons?
Thanks for the help it means a lot

Well.. if you tackle this as, basically, renaming one to ten videos, zipping up the collection to contain them, and then having an app temporarily unzip the apps to pull the names and allow you to play the files.. well it might not be *too* bad... but still an awful lot of work.
Read up about the gzip library.. windows media control sdk/sdl... etc

Thanks, i just had a look at your website and you have done some very Unique art work! it's great, i love graphic design and designing user interfaces for programs i also love 3D Modeling (i use 3Ds Max) and anything graphical. I'm wanting to get into the games industry when i leave school doing 3D Modeling. but in the mean time while I'm still in year 11 i like to create programs that are original (I've only created a couple but have lots of ideas) but as you can see i just don't really have the mind for programming but i get by most of the time, the reason i am programming in vb.net (which is the only language i know) is because i have no one else locally in my area or school who can help me.
don't really know why i wrote all of that, seeing i don't even ow your name :S but i guess I'm just being friendly
, thanks
btw: Adam isn't really my real name, i didn't want to use me real name because i didn't know what this forum was like but my name is - Beaudean, pleased to meet you

here is 1 more idea
most of d graphic multimedia converters (super, formatfactory, media coder etc ..) use ffmpeg, a command line tool for converting / joining video files.
1. join vid files using ffmpeg
2. create asx files which will save start time and duration of videos like this
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/285841
3. use asx files to play videos
