I used to work in a gas station called 'Farm Stores' out west in the more woodsy/swampy part of south florida. Where all the trailer parks and the sort are...
I worked graveyard shift so I could go to school in the day, and I'd invite my friends to hang out and play video-games to make it through the nights. We locked the doors at midnight, played Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the Dreamcast, and throw cigarettes at the hookers through the little spinny window.
This one evening my buddy and I are playing some games when a guy comes to the door and starts yanking on it. I go to the spinny window and say through it...
"sorry buddy, we do all transactions through the window"
"I wanna come inside."
"Nope, can't do it, no one inside after midnight"
"Yeah, but you've got that guy in there with you"
"..." I stare at him wide eyed, "you... you can see him? OH MY GOD, YOU CAN SEE HIM! Someone else can see my invisible friend!" I dove over the counter towards the door keys in hand, "right away, come on in, you can see Andy, my bestest bestest friend. Of course you can come in!"
"Urmmm..." the guy started stumbling backwards, "Uhhh, what? No... that's ok... yeah umm" He falls on his ass and scuttles back to his car. "That's OK dude, I'll go to the Mobil down the street."
