I'm currently in college pursuing an AAS in Information Systems after that I'd like to pursue a BS in Computer Science as I want to ultimately pursue Programming. Until then i'd like to pursue certain certification programs and continue to work on a majority of coding on my own outside of the classroom. I was wondering about trying to get an entry level or basic level java certifcation? I'm having trouble locating the exam on Oracles page for starters. But the biggest question is, is it worth pursuing? I've been reading around and some people seem to think it's a waste and more of a tool for self exploration? Either way I'd like some feedback before I go and shell out a few hundered bucks for a certifcation that could potentially be worthless on the resume? Please let me know what you think or if you have any other ideas as to what to pursue?
