What are some good places for summer internships?

Hey Guys, just finished my first year of Computer Engineering classes and I really liked it! It was tough for me because this was my first time ever doing programming but I'm very interested in it. Im just wondering, for future reference, where do you guys have internships? I would like to do one next summer hopefully but if I have to, later than that.

I also just finished my first year so I have little experience. I don't know where you live but here in NYC there's probably 30+ new ads everyday on Craigslist looking for software developers. I emailed a few of them volunteering to intern for free and managed to get one interview so far. Oh look, just emailed another one now that you mentioned it. I figured it will be easier to get an internship at a bigger company if I get a few of these under my belt. Other than that, I don't know, so I will keep an eye on this thread, too. :sailor:
