Hi all,
I installed ubutu 12.04 on my machine and then I installed GUI for server since I am not familer to terminal very much.
However after I install GUI, to do changes in my machine I couldnt find terminal.
can anybody tell me how to go to terminal or is there another way to overcome this?

You can.. it's in the system panel or something..
and if you hit the search option in the ah.. start? button and type in 'terminal' you get there as well.

Finding a menu item is something trivial enough that it really should not require a question. Simply search the menus. You can call it harsh, but if you're incapable of googling something like this or finding it yourself you need to reconsider using Linux.

I have to agree with Lemur, even though Linux is an "Advanced" OS, if you are using a GUI and can't find the terminal, then maybe you should stick with windows. There are even many different terminal emulators. I use guake and all you have to do is press F12 or any other key you set.

You should be able to access it through the unity bar. When clicking the top left(I believe) you can list through your applications, then simply drag it onto the unity bar for further use. With that said, I have to agree with Gunners recommendation.
