I'm recently installing a software. But before that I have to choose which version to download. I got two choices: win32 or x64. My operating system is 64-bit, does that mean I have to choose the x64 version? I know this may be simple question but after searching for a while I'm still confused. Thanks for any reply!

Yes..
Also most 32bit will work on you 64.. but not the other way around.

** Unsure what this has anything to do with Freelancing, moved to Computer Support> Software Support> Windows **
Click the orb (was start), right click Computer (in the 2nd column) & select properties. It will say "System type" & list if your OS is 32 bit or 64 bit. Because you have the choice, you should install the software using the same architecture you are running.

Yes I'm using 64 bit so I'll just choose x64. Thanks!

To put it in a different perspective, x32 is a Ford Taurus, it gets the job done and you get where you want. You don't think about it. Along comes x64, a shining Ferrari bred for faster speeds and more efficient usage, which would you pick? (slightly hyperbolic, I know.)
x64 programs are (mostly) optimized for the fact that x64 allows far more to be done.
