hi everyone
I am totally new to python language and I want to wrote my program using it. my program needs to import 3D model created using maya programing language.also, my program do many changes on this model depending on some rules. so, I want to be sure that I can do this using python. I search on the net without having any answer. I hope you can help me. Is python compatible with Maya and can Import .mb files??

Maya uses python as its scripting language, here's a tutorial on it.
Is there any way you can run your program through maya as they do in this tutorial?

I know that python is the Maya scripting language but I hope
to find way to import Maya Model into my python program instead
of use the python inside the Maya
