New Topic/Question
So I was behind soem jackass this morning who was driving 45 in a 55 and not only that he was driving all over the road. To avoid him I hit the gas and by the time I realized it, I was going 125mph. Has anyone ever just accidently driven really fast and if so how fast? AutoBahn does not count.

I have drove 120 in an 88 Celica, and I'm really surprised it didn't fall apart. I hope to drive a lot faster than that one day, once funds become sufficient enough to by a car fast enough to do so.

Accidently?
135 in a 70, just got news of my uncle's passing. Grabbed my brother and hopped in the car to go to New England for family, didn't know how fast I was going.
On purpose?
I know I've hit 160->170 in Montana, I know this because I took a photo of my tiny ford focus going around 165 in neutral. Montana for some time had no numeric speed limit and until recently had signs posted that in daytime hours you could drive what you considered safe... paradoxically to common belief, it's roads were safer. Though that probably had more to do with the lack of cars on the road.
I've gone faster than that on private roads and tracks.

Laws changed a few years back.
State wide speed limit is 75 mph on interstates.
Some sections of road still have the old signs the last time I was there in 2007. So by technicality you could get away with it because you only were going by what the signs said... but that'd require lawyers and shit.

110 in an F150. My speedometer only reads to 100, so it was an estimate.

I've hit around 150 mph (250 kph) on a motorbike. Really stupid thing to have tried, but an awesome experience nonetheless. In retrospect I shouldn't have done it at night, or during rush hour, but the road I did it on was big enough that I'm still around to write this.

Once hit 225 while going from Santa Cruz to Cochabamba. Since it's mostly flatlands here it's somewhat safe, still every 5 I went faster, my asshole clenched and clenched. I wouldn't do it again.

120mph on a curvy expressway in a Jaguar. I value my life more now, so it wouldn't happen again

I'd say over 140mph easily on the track, but I don't know the real speed since I'd have my lap timer covering my speedo. This was on the motorcycle doing track days.
