Friend & I made it from Akron Ohio to NYC in 6 hrs, I think we were doing 110 for quite a while in his Ford Focus. I on the other hand, am a puss & have never gone over 95.

little over 100 in a Honda polite...It wouldn't go any faster 
it actually started to slow down if I went any faster.

My Jeep went 89 once! Downhill, while flooring it. That thing was a clunker.
I've never really pushed it - I like acceleration better than speed for cars - less likely to get me killed.

Around 59mph (in a boulevard near home) was my maximum in-city 
And I can swear I went up to 65mph in road.

Nah believe me, here people drive MUCH faster that I do. But what can you expect from a +10 years old 74HP car without ABS?
I can't afford something more powerful right now. However, I'm working on improving my speed record!

Around 2am one morning driving home with not a single other car on the road we hit 142mph (GPS Recorded and just over 140mph on the speedo) on a downhill point of the motorway.
My car's electronically limited to 136mph so going above that was pretty awesome and extremely unsafe / scary. Still totally worth it, and still try to do it when I drive home from where I live now.
Without a hill though, it's hard to get it above 125mph, even sticking in 5th gear. I think we're all crazy around Manchester and generally in rush hour we stick around 90-105mph on the way to work. Probably because we get stuck in so much traffic on the way home..

The fastest I've ever driven was right around 120mph in a '94 Celica. I assume it was governed above that, because I couldn't pass 120. I also got a ride from a guy who owned a '71 Pantera. The last time I looked at the speedo we were passing 140. He said he usually didn't like to go much higher than that because it really started feeling loose. That was a badass car...
