Conversion table with div

Posted 06 August 2012 - 12:05 AM

Hello,
Having some difficulty with the div I want to know how to convert this table into div.

<td valign="top" id="leftNavContainer-">
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="5" width="100%" border="0" class="LeftMenu" style="height: 134px; width: 940px;">
<tr>
<td class="Icon"><img class="Icon" alt="" src="../image/icon_left_nav1.gif" /></td>
<td class="NavItem"><div class="firstMenu"> <a class="" href="../Version 3/test.html">TEXTE</a></div></td>
<td valign="top" rowspan="6" class="Icon"><img width="4" border="0" height="150" src="../image/barre_bleu.gif" alt="" /></td>
<td valign="top" rowspan="6">
<div class="postexte"><h4 class="pos_top">
TEXTE
</h4></div>
</td>
</tr>
</td>
</table>

Thank you in advance.

Is This A Good Question/Topic? 0

There are some errors in your code, the td is not supposed to be outside the table. I'll check the code more and see
what i can do

Here try out this one
<div class="LeftMenu" style="height:134px; width:940px; border:2px; padding:2px; vertical-align:top">
	<div class="Icon" style="float:left; width:235px;">
    	<img src="../image/icon_left_nav1.gif" style="float:left;"/>
    </div>
    <div class="NavItem" style="float:left; width:235px;">
    	<div class="firstmenu">
        	<a class="" href="../Version 3/test.html"> TEXT</a>
        </div>
    </div>
    <div class="Icon" style="float:left; width:235px;">
    	<img width="4" border="0" height="134" src="../image/barre_bleu.gif" alt=""  />
    </div>
    <div class="postexte" style="float:left; width:235px; height:134px;">
    	<h4 class="pos_top">Text</h4>
    </div>
</div>

You did not give out your css so what i could do was limited with respect to your css

...not a good idea.

Read that reply.

For menus it's semantically correct to use an unordered list. It keeps your code substantially cleaner and easier to manage. You can also specify your image as the bullet by modifying the properties of li in the css.
