Need urgent help with error when publishing

Posted 08 August 2012 - 10:29 PM

Hi, I am trying to publish a asp.net - silverlight application. The application has been started as a Silverlight Application project, the solution contains a few projects including a service connection. I am publishing it in file system and trying to host it on a Windows Server 2008 R2 in IIS7. When I create the site the following error occurs:
Server Error in '/' Application.

Could not load file or assembly 'System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Hosting, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Hosting, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Assembly Load Trace: The following information can be helpful to determine why the assembly 'System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Hosting, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' could not be loaded.

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Stack Trace:

Thank you very much. Though I have set the Copy Local to all my dll's in the project, and I've read that if you have the Ria dll's in the project you dont need to have the ria services installed on the server. Nevertheless the problem was in them, and when I installed them on the server it all went ok. I was unable to diagnose the problem from the error message as I believe there is nothing in there to indicate that the missing link is the Ria services. Anyway thank you for trying to help me, it was very useful.
