Netbeans changed my file to be a read only file and discard all, why?

Posted 10 August 2012 - 04:11 AM

Can any folks tell me who was doing this? How can this happen? I swear that if this damn shit ashole can be captured, after I get US$1000 bilyun, I will share 0,001% of it to behead this man's head but this will happen if I will not be punished by any laws. This human I mean in previous sentence will exclude my father, my mother, any of my brother or sister, and me.

Your problem is highly unclear. But that's not surprising - none of the text apart from the title has anything to do with explaining it.

Well, I created a file and tried to save it. Suddenly I failed to save it because the Netbeans changed it to read only. Can you help me to get back the file?

read only files can be "save as"d a new title which can then be edited. Or,you could copy the contents of the file, delete the file, recreate it, then paste it into the new doc. FYI, Netbeans sucks and I only use it when I absolutely have to for a class or something. If you're a noob, you should learn how to use notepad. If you simply must have an IDE, go for Eclipse.

P.S. Keep yer damn money

Well, how to get it back after Netbeans discards all of the changes?

Netbeans didn't make anything read only.

Well, how to get the files back? Exactly I type it because I am angry with Netbeans any ways. I spend a day long to type my program to finish my thesis and the Netbeans do this to me.

If you closed out netbeans, you can't get it back. Sorry for your luck.

What's the story again? The file you were writing was read only... you didn't save the changes as something else... and then closed the app down?

Windows, no it was not a read only file. Netbeans changed it to read only and discarded any changes that was made by me, so what should I do? Please, it's a codes with 14000+ lines, I want to finish this as fast as possible.

Discarded changes are discarded changes. The fastest way is to start rewriting it.

If the changes were discarded, you won't be able to recover them. This applies to any program. I use NetBeans for personal work. I've never encountered this problem.

No offense, but given what I've seen of your code, I highly doubt your projects should be 14k lines. I'm almost positive with proper programming practices, you could consolidate significantly.
