Research and write code on the following topics:
Create a threaded discussion response system using a Markov chain, with the threaded discussion responses from previous weeks used as inputs.
Write a one- to two-page paper on uses of Markov chains and other ways Markov chains might be represented in games and simulations.

Now i know what Markov chains are, and how to deal with them mathematically. but when it comes to using them in a program... i have 0 understanding where to start and how to implement them. could someone possibly help me get started send me somewhere where i could get help for this specific problem

Do you have any kind of graphing software that you are going to use?

How are you treating them mathematically? Are you handling the equations individually or are you using linear algebra? If you are using linear algebra you might want to use Matlab. It much easier to use for matrices because that's it's main purpose. If you have Linear Algebra with applications by Leon I can point you to the section that describes Markov chains and I think it is followed by Matlab exercises.
