I have a challenge for you: Redesign the site and use absolutely no images.
Your flaw is that you rely on them. Get rid of them and focus on page structure, layout, typography, and color.
Your second mistake is that your code is bad. Tables are not for design.

That should get you started on cleaning up your code. Put simply, you need to completely rethink the way you do web design.

You are not giving me any information about your social network. You are forcing me to create an account or login. Really bad.

Or click the big logo which gives you "information".
But honestly, the design is too dark and not inviting for me to register. Also you're going to have the biggest problem of any social network, if people's friends aren't on it already, they won't register.

Use dividers instead of tables and make the page feel like it all goes together. The images and the background don't match at all. Have a certain group of theme colors that are present anywhere on the site. Then put a short summary of everything about the site right on the main page. And then have a "See More" or a "Click for More" link that links to the rest of the information on your information page.

Your info page makes me feel like I'm reading a little kid's persuasive essay. It's a lot of "(question making you realize how sucky your first-world-problems are)? (solution to make your life less sucky)! (Poor explanation of services that doesn't actually solve the problem)."
