i am planning to make an undergraduate thesis software about a speech and voice recognition software as a security measure removable storage such as flash drives. i understand that speech recognition (recognizing the words spoken) and voice recognition (recognizing the unique voice of the speaker) are different and is used for different purposes but the goal i want to achieve calls for both of them.

so i would like to get some tips on:
-what are the languages i could use to achieve the best results for accurate voice comparison
-any similarly natured software i can base my work on other than the win7 speech recognition software? for both voice and speech recognition
