i played minecraft once. muh.

i'm confused on this thread. is this just like, a generic 'what games are you playing?' thread, or is this like, some sort of comfort food kind of thing specifically after coding marathons?

I don't do a lot of games anymore, but minecraft lets me scratch that itch to build something without any real investment- don't have to get materials, dig out tools, etc. That said, I really don't use the creative mode, and even though I mostly mine my own stuff, I use invedit when I want to make something big and need lots of blocks. the swimming pool had me digging 1x1 holes down to bedrock in rows and then filling them back up with TNT, and I used invedit for that and for the stone I'm making the walls going up with.

completely pointless, probably the dumbest way to play, absolute perfection for when you've coded so long your ears feel wet and you're not sure if it's sweat from headphones or gray matter leaking out from the inside.

I play Black Ops frequently, probably more than I code.

I have no idea how many times I have deleted my saves and restarted with a new character in Skyrim. The game's awesomeness comes from the point that you'll never be bored even when you do the same missions over and over again. Try a completely different character this time.

Yeah, I intend to. It's a shame though, I liked that character. I also restarted the game many times before settling on that character, but that was always at no more than 3 or 4 hours, not the approx 100 hours I had logged for this one, lol.

Still, it could be worse. I lost my FF10 savegame a few years back (almost completed, just collecting the 'uber-weapons' etc before doing the last part), and my brain has steadfastly refused to even so much as acknowledge any new Final Fantasy games on the market.

That happened to me with Chrono Cross on PS. I lost my save game due my kid brother and I was so dissapointed I didnt get round to playing it again for almost 2 years. Good thing I played it again though. That was one awesome game!

At this rate though, I'm never going to get back to Skyrim. Most of my free time at the moment is taken up with the Star Wars Galaxies Emulator. Still unfinished, but still great :)

You're building the emulator? Cool.

@Nykc There's an awesome version of Dovakhiin sung by some chick. Check it out if you haven't yet. I think its on Youtube.
