Font weight for Safari

Posted 21 August 2012 - 05:34 AM

Hi guys, having a bit of a problem. I use font weight quite a lot throughout my website, and due to what I am doing, I have to set the font weight with a number. This works well in every browser besides safari, and upon researching, it appears to be a common problem. I cant really go through my whole website to start changing things, so does anyone know of a fix for this? Even if I can just remove any weight from everything just in safari browsers, this would be good.

Cheers

Nick

I did a little searching on this and I've come up with a supposed fix.

font-family:"Calibri-Light", "Calibri Light", "Calibri", sans-serif;

This will pull a "lighter" version of the font in question. If, however, it doesn't exist, Safari will default to the next font on the list.

Rumor has it, this will fix the problem to some extent.
