Posted 21 August 2012 - 02:07 PM

Does anyone know of a place on the net where I can find (or download) some free Java e-books online about Data Structures or other Computer science topics using Java?
Thanks, Smoothedatol412

This is one of the better web tutorials I've found for data structures.

I am just looking for free PDF files; things that I can read and the projects at the end of the chapter. I know that I can go on I dont have WiFi at home so I can always go on torrents and looks up data structure books. And the end goal in mind is to translate the algorithm from Java to C/C++ so I can see how I works with Pointer and not reference so I can see the inner workings of the structures using ASM.

Data structures are data structures. Stop focusing on conversion and focus on learning the appropriate tool. We have C++ Data Structures tutorials you might want to read up on. I highly doubt a book is going to teach you how to convert from one language to another.

Also, have you done any research on your own to find yourself these free e-books?

No a book would not but since Java and C++ are closely related, after you know the key parts of both language translating the syntax and turns the references into pointer would not be such a hard task and would give you a greater understanding of the algorithm as a whole.

And as for the e-books online I can find a few use pirate bay, but are only a hand full of C++ and Java data structure books on there. The other site I was found with mirror are just dead ends. Most other sites stress using amazing and ultimately buy those books, but who has the money for all on a hobbist bugget.

I am going to going through all of the tutorials one by one, first in Java, then in C.

The reason they're encouraging you to buy them is because the authors writing these books deserve to make money too. Please be advised we won't help you find illegal downloads. I think I'm going to close this thread now, as you can use Google like the rest of us.
